Jyoti Bora

I graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2005 with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy and completed my post-graduation in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy (MSK) in 2007 from India. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council UK. I am also a member of Indian Association of Physiotherapists and was previously registered with Singapore Physiotherapy Association and Singapore Allied Health Professions Council. I also hold a physiotherapy practice licence from the Dubai Health Authority.

I started my Physiotherapy career as a Lecturer and Clinical practitioner in a Physiotherapy college in India which gave me an opportunity to be an academician along with enhancing my clinical skills. I worked there for about 3 years before moving to Germany and then finally Singapore where I moved into clinical practice entirely. I initially worked in a day care centre where I dealt with the adult population with neurology and orthopaedic conditions. After that, I moved to work with a private clinic which catered to musculoskeletal and sports injuries where I got to treat various MSK conditions in all age groups and it helped me to hone my skills in manual therapy where my main interest lies. After living in Singapore for 4 years, I moved to the UK in 2015 year-end. I started working with Perth Physio Clinic in May 2018. I moved to India in December 2019 and then returned to Perth Physio Clinic in November 2021.

I have certification in Kinesio-taping and have attended various courses over the years to continue my professional growth. I have done my Pilates training with Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute and training in Acupuncture with Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. I strive to achieve the best possible outcome for every client I treat through detailed assessment and combination of physiotherapy techniques I have learnt and practised over the years. I aim to get them back on track as soon as possible so that they can enjoy life to the maximum.

I have been globe-trotting over the last 10 years which has helped me develop both personally and professionally although I must say that living in serene Scotland has been wonderful and an experience unmatched so far.

My other interests are practising Yoga and Dance which is even more fun now since I have got a mini version of myself (my daughter) for company and feedback on my dance skills (or rather the lack of it)!
