I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2004 with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy from the University of Otago. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Since graduating I have worked in private practice in three Commonwealth countries with diverse health services. After graduating I worked in a rural practice in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 2007, working in Western Australia and later in Melbourne. In 2012 I moved to Scotland and have been working in the private sector in Glasgow before joining the team at Perth Chartered Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic in 2016.

Having trained in classical ballet, I developed an appreciation of how the body works. This led me towards physiotherapy as a career where I can help people feel better by listening, educating and treating. I use manual therapy techniques, acupuncture/ dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation, rehabilitative Pilates and progressive exercise programmes to help clients achieve their goals, big or small.

I have additional training in Acupuncture (post-graduate certificate endorsed in Acupuncture) and Pilates (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). I have also attended various other post-graduate courses including hip joint dysfunction, running rehabilitation, temporomandibular dysfunction and visceral manipulation.

Since moving to Scotland I have enjoyed some amazing Scottish scenery and have been travelling around Europe as much as possible. Growing up in rural New Zealand I have a real appreciation of being outdoors – I love getting outside and walking a Munro or finding a cycle path to attack on my bike. On lazy days, I love a good book and recommendations are most welcome.
