Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002 with a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science at Glasgow Caledonian University. Since then, I have specialised in the field of Musculoskeletal Outpatients within the NHS before joining Perth Physio Clinic in 2018. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. My particular interest lies with teaching Pilates and I have trained with the world-renowned Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. As a qualified Exercise to Music Teacher I have enjoyed teaching many formats of exercise over the years and can say that Pilates is my favourite.
In addition to my Physiotherapy degree, I have a Masters of Science degree in Exercise and Health Sciences from Heriot Watt University. Before moving to the field of Physiotherapy, I lectured for several years in Health and Fitness, Sports and Exercise and Movement and Dance. I am also a trained dancer and worked as professional dancer prior to attending Heriot Watt University. Like all Physiotherapists at Perth Physio Clinic, I deliver the APPI method in my Pilates classes but like to draw on my past experience of dance and Exercise to Music to add a little bit of choreography and flow to my classes.
